My Teaching Philosophy
I believe proper teaching is best described by the process of cognitive apprenticeship where students learn best by "doing". With the vast amount of knowledge at our hands these days, I would not label myself as just a constructivist or behaviorist theory based practitioner. I assess each situation for what it is, and apply the appropriate strategies accordingly. I support the Georgia Performance Standards in my teaching and see them not as a hindrance, but as a framework to guide my curriculum.
